Day 10 -1/3 of the way there
Day 10 was an easy one for me. I played some racquetball with my friend Jim and then did a core workout on my own. I was done by 8a.m.
Day 9 on the other hand was a hard one. It was a snowy, cold and dreary Sunday here in Rochester and I was feeling kind of blue. I went to chruch, then out to breakfast with friends. I got home and laid on the couch a bit and knew I had to get out there and get something done before visiting my mom on Mother's Day. All I wanted to do was lay low and veg out. I had worked out 9 straight days and was feeling a little tired.
Well, I got myself up, grabbed my winter jacket and headed to the gym. I found an open treadmill and decided to go for a walk instead of a run. I threw on my ipod and listened to a book on cd and ended up walking for over an hour. The time actually flew by as I caught up on the book I had been meaning to finish up for some time now.
The hardest part was getting off the couch and getting there. Snow in May wanted to keep my sedate! It made me think of all of the other obstacles that get in our way, whether it be weather, time, family commitments, etc.
Almost all obstacles are meant to be hurdled. Day 9 was a tough one. Day 10 was not. Not every day has obstacles, but when those days come that do, be ready to JUMP!
