My 5 Things
Hey Everyone,
May is only 2 days away, and as I am frantically packing, I sat back and thought of the 5 things I need to make this challenge successful for me. Here they are:
1. My IPod. I finally broke down and purchased a new one. I loved my old mini but there was no saving it, so I have a new one now and am loading it up as I type this. I find some hot and high energy playlists can really help me get through some tough runs.
2. Dry fit shirts. I have about 8 of these in my bag already. They are great for any outdoor activity as my sweat pours right through them. Remember, when doing a lot of intense working out, cotton can be rotten. You can get these shirts anywhere nowadays. i highly recommend you grab some (and the socks, shorts and underwear are pretty cool too).
3. Ok mom - this ones for you. I did it, i purchased health insurance for myself for the month. I kind of like living life on the edge, but sometimes it's more important to make mom's stress levels down.
4. My camelbak. It's a water/hyrdation bag that you put into your back pack. Fill it up with water (mine holds 3 liters) and your good to go, especially on those long adventures, or those not so long, but HOT adventures (you guys in AZ and TX know what I'm talking about....)
5. My calendar that I use every May (and November) that keeps me honest and on track of my plans and goals. I mark it off each day as I go. Seeing that big "x" in black sharpie marker showing that I achieved my daily goal is great for my mind and spirit, and motivates me to keep on course.
So that's my 5. What are your 5 things you need to make sure your EDiM will be a good one.... Preperation is key. Get ready, it's only 2 days away.....
