My Sunday Diet
Okay, I posted my good diet a few Wednesday's ago, proudly sharing what I ate and drank that day. Well, here is my diet from yesterday, May 23rd:
Breakfast - a donut (with Boston Red Sox sprinkles on it) and a flatbread egg-white sandwich with turkey sausage and cheese.
Morning snack - nothing
Lunch nothing
Afternoon snack a glass or two of white wine
Dinner - Pepperoni pizza and a few wings
Snacks during the day nothing
Water consumed about 20 ounces
My exercise of the day was some upper body weight training for about 30-minutes.
I also then sat on the couch for 4.5 hours of LOST watching. May 23rd was by far the worst diet and exercise day of my month. But, it is what it is, and I ate what I ate, and drank what I drank. There was really nothing behind it but a little bit of laziness and maybe a little bit of feeling like I deserved a day like that. However, physically, I felt awful all day. I had no real nutritional value of any kind in my body all day, and I had the energy to prove it (which resulted in the not-so-great workout).
So today, I've had my Special K Protein rich cereal, a smoothie, grilled chicken salad, a handful of peanuts, and so far a half gallon of water. Its 3:00 right now and I feel excellent. Today has been a good workout day as well. I played racquetball with Jim, went for a 45 minute steep hill walk with Jen and Linny, and did some abs and arms as well.
Food - for me it can fuel me up, or slow me down. I like the fuel better and just have to remember how good it feels when I feel good like this!
One more week everyone. One more!
KEEP MOVING!!!

Brian,Im so glad that you posted this! i know this may sound weird but it really shows me and other people that just because your a personal trainer and live a healthy life style dosent mean that you dont live a little. You have thoes " cheat" days. But its great to see the next day you were back at it and giving it 100%. we are all human and we all need one of thoes days.
