Not a Lot in Charlotte at the White Water Center
Took a gamble today and laid $50 bucks down for a 90 minute white water rafting ride in Charlotte at a man-made course that looked so cool. $50 dollars seemed a lot, but i figured that this place was exactly what Every Day in May is all about! Well ten minutes later the weather horn blew and due to lightning and thunder rolling in, the rafting got cancelled (not exactly sure how the people selling the tickets didn't know the same weather info as the rafting guides 500 feet away). The skies opened up and a storm hit like i haven't seen since I lived in Charleston. They have a no-refund policy due to weather, so the most expensive adventure of my cross-country trip ended up really not paying off at all. The $50 is for a day pass which gets you rafting, rock wall climbing, and some sweet zip cording. I'd recomend this if you have a day to spend and not just for an afternoon or eveinng rafting ride - and also - bring your own doppler weather service - it might save you some coin!

Can't believe these jokers didn't give you a refund... What a bunch of jerks.
